6-Gang getriebe W8

Sorry I’m writing this in English, I write better English than German, you can reply in German.

In about a year I want to buy me a Passat Variant W8 with a manual six-speed transmission. The 275ps are great but I want something different. Looking for an answer to gain me more power I found two options:

1. An Audi S4 2.7 biturbo with an AWE Tuning RSK04 turbo upgrade kit conversion.
2. Built a supercharger too and get it up to 400ps.

I already had contact with a shop here in the Netherlands. They told me it would take them about 2 months to built a supercharger kit for the W8 (costs about 4000-8000 euro, depending on the amount of horsepower gained). Searching the internet I could not find any specifications on the manual six-speed transmission that sits in the W8.

Could you guys help me with the model number/type number of this transmission and if it will put up to a power increase of 125ps??

Hello

The W8-Engine has temperature Problems.

No Tuner will build a kompressor for this Engine.

If you wont more Power, take the 2.7 bi-turbo.

Could you tell me what the heat problem is? (watertemp, oiltemp, general cooling?)

My biggest concern with the 2.7 Biturbo is the use/handling of everyday driving. I know a supercharged engine "feels like" a normal engine. How is this with a Biturbo?

Must say that the pictures above look awesome. The 2.7BT is also a lot lighter than the W8.

general cooling is the problem. the engine itself is geting too hot inside. because of the W arrangement the engine is very small compared to other 8 cylinder engines, but the heat cant get out. this is why VW has limited it to 275 hp ... it could have more, but you can get serius engine damage when you install a supercharger.

Then the 2.7 T will be it. It will make my search a lot easier. It will be a Variant 2.8 4motion with a sunroof (love the solar-sunroof).
